Christmas Sweets

When there is Christmas, there is plenty of chocolate. Not to mention the 5kg of extra weight I have put on over the festive season.

Though the sweet side of Christmas is surely remembered indeed! These gourmet chocolates where gone in a heart beat!

Movember 2009

November is also known as Movember which is a moustache growing charity held to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. During this time I grew a Mo.

Amongst the time in Movember I experience a few new things. I was a Mo-Bro, a walking advertisement for the charity. People would comment on my mo asking if it was for Movember. It was the first time I actually grew a mo. It itched for 4 weeks straight. I even visited a barber for the first time in my life. My cousin Phillip also raised funds for the charity and put together a BBQ where we had cut out cardboard mo's for good laughs. We both also went to the Movember Gala Parté that was an unbelievable event.

I raised a total of $412.20. I would say November was an entertaining month supporting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and men’s depression. I’m looking forward to supporting the cause again next November in 2010.

The London Derby

Recently I’ve been home most weekend nights watching the English Premier League with my cousin Phil. Constant online betting, TAB multi picks and all sorts of football rambles are flowing till the sun rises. Tonight I wear my Gunners jersey as pyjamas. Tonight is the big one. Phil is a Chelsea supporter and I am a Gunners fan. It’s probably the game of the year so far and one not to be missed.

Both teams are nailing the competition. Chelsea leading the table 8 points in front of Arsenal which are down in 4th position. The Gunners have a game in hand, which is good news. Hopefully they come out on top which helps in having a crack at winning the title. In saying that it will be such a difficult game. Chelsea is playing unbelievable football recently. They are the toughest contenders in the EPL. Arsenal has 4 players out injured troubling Arsène Wenger's side. Kieran Gibbs out for a few months with a broken foot. Abou Diaby, Gael Clichy, Nicklas Bendtner and Robin Van Persie are also out.

Chelsea’s Drogba and Anelka will be punishing the Arsenal’s defence. This will really give Vermaelen a test of his ability for Arsenal in the back line. This will undoubtedly be the most adamant game this season for the Gunners. I really hope they come out with the 3 points. It will be the reason for crash tackling Phil and the brilliant excuse to cheer down the house with my shirt tucked over my head! I heart football!

Disgustingly Delicious

Ok, the photo looks disgusting, but that is an autopsy of one delicious burrito from Guzmen y Gomez . I’m not one to write well about a quick lunch. Though I’m always more then excited about Newtown, when I know I’m going to eat at Guzmen!

At the moment they have a taco or burrito plus a can of drink for 10 bucks deal. To be quite honest I don’t care about how good that value is! The burrito’s served are ‘effing awesome! I don’t even have to wait long for my meal. Less then 5 minutes and I have a jam-packed warm tortilla full of flavour. Freshly cooked with healthy vegies and delicious side sauces if you choose.

I also gave the tacos a try, as I was a little hungrier then I thought. Not that it blows the bank ordering food there and I think they are pretty delicious too. A definite recommendation if you want to try a Mexican flavour. MMMMMM YUM!

Harbourlife

The location was simply stunning. The event located at the steps of Mrs Macquarie's Chair that overlooked Sydney Harbour. The weather was perfect. About 26 degrees, harbour breeze and the blaring sun! The early afternoon was a relaxing, sit back and relax get smashed routine. Drink after drink till some one couldn’t walk anymore. That was the green light to hit the main stage.

The crowd was amazing. The cheers probably heard all the way into the city. What I enjoy most is the good laugh at the fashion parade at these festivals. I was looking forward to Stanton Warriors the most. The first half hour of their set was a lot better then the end. Pity that though Bag Raiders and Martin Solveig were probably the highlights of the event.

The day went too fast. My legless printed tee was exactly how I was feeling! Party of the year so far! Hands down!

Part Payment

These Sportmax 501’s are part payment for some print advertisements I designed for JDMyard. If only I had a MX-5 or Sprinter to fit these babies on.

Oh well, they will do as a paperweight.

iPhone Stand DIY!

Princess Tiamii is my pet Pug. She is my shadow. And she always needs constant attention. She has a thing for chasing, chewing, biting and attacking objects. Her favourite is munching on empty toilet paper rolls and tied up socks.

Last night she jumps on my couch, then onto my desk with an empty DV cassette tape in her mouth. Looking up at me, trying to convince me to tug it out of her mouth and to play tug-o-war, then fetch. After playing a little while and getting the shits because she keeps hiding it under my couch, I give up and confiscate it and keep it on my desk. She jumps up again onto my desk and smashes into my phone, the cassette tape and other items on my desk. It was then I realised what a perfect idea the cassette tape could be!

All credit to my pup. She is a smart dog! DIY wise, work it out! All you need is a sticker and you have yourself an Apple iPhone holder! Brilliant!
